He has earned a PhD in Physical Activity and Health from the University Alfonso X in Madrid (UAX), a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Perugia, a Degree in Arts from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, a Degree in Philosophy from the University of Siena, a Master in Adult Education from the III University of Rome, a Master in E-Learning from the University of Tuscia in Viterbo, and a Master in Didactics of Italian Language and Culture to Foreigners from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata". Recently, he has earned a Master in International Relations at Cusano University (thesis in Sport Diplomacy). He is Associate Professor of General, Social and Sport Pedagogy at the University of Rome "Foro Italico" where he also teaches Philosophy of Sport and Olympic Education. His main research interests focus on Philosophy of Education and Sport Studies, Sport Ethics, Sport Pedagogy, Methodology of Educational Research, Physical Education Teachers Training and Sport Coaches Education. He has been DAAD scholar at Leipzig University (2011) and visiting professor at California State University Long Beach (2013). In 2014 he has been awarded the ASESDECO-Francisco de Vitoria University Prize for Sport Pedagogy (www.asesdeco.com). Emanuele is also the founder and editor-in-chief of the Italian Journal of Sports Pedagogy (Rivista Italiana di Pedagogia dello Sport, www.ripes.eu).
