All international students are entitled to the same student assistance services as Italian students, on the basis of the same requisites of financial means and/or merit. This applies to scholarships, student loans, housing assistance, canteen meal tickets and fee waivers.

The tuition fees amount is determined yearly by the University of Rome “Foro Italico” board;
generally it is payable in two instalments:

   ° the first one is to be paid when you enrol
   ° the second one by April.

Some students benefit from a fee exemption or reduction according to their family financial situation.
The requirements that EU and Extra-EU students must meet, in order to gain such benefits, are yearly set (please, refer to the call)

If you are a foreign student, living and working in Italy or with a family that works in Italy, you can present the documents related to your financial situation with the same procedures and deadlines as the Italian students.

If you are a foreign student, resident abroad, before coming to Italy you will need to get an official document about:

   ° the family composition
   ° the family income (economic condition) of the whole family unit
   ° the family properties

These declarations must be translated into Italian and certified by the Italian Embassy or Consulate.
When you will arrive at the University of Rome “Foro Italico”, you will be directed to a CAF office to present these declarations, afterwards the CAF will issue a document called "Attestazione ISEE"/Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator).
With the ISEE, you will be able to apply for Tuition fees’ reduction scholarships, rooms in Halls of Residences.
